Information management and media literacy are among the key skills that consultants must have. The world of professions and training is not only becoming increasingly complex, it is also constantly changing. It is therefore necessary for counsellors to be able to keep their own knowledge up to date. In addition, it is also an aim of counselling that clients acquire information management skills in the course of the counselling process. That means that the dissemination of this competence is the central goal of counselling and that counselling thus also becomes part of the lifelong learning strategy for adults.
