Handbook and Methods Database for Gender Inclusive Didactics
Abstract
abif develops methods of gender inclusive didactics which will be published in a handbook as well as
in a database. The project is commissioned by the Austrian Labor Market Service (AMS). The gender inclusive
didactics focusses on FiT vocational education (FiT: Women in Technology) as well as corporate vocational
programs in technology and nature sciences.
The supplied methods handbook enhances the multiplicity in the teaching of educational contents and is
designed to respond to different learning types. By this approach the satisfaction and the learning output of
both genders will be enhanced and drop outs are supposed to be reduced.
The handbook is basing on current and up to date literature as well as research. Moreover, it includes inputs
by trainers of FiT facilities and of experts of this area.
