Project "Labour Market 2030"

Project Title

Labour Market 2030

Abstract

This study examines how the world of work and the labour market will change in the next decade, with a special focus on how and where work will be done (e.g., under which skill requirements). The analysis is embedded, on the one hand, in a brief historical review and, on the other, in the medium-term labour market outlook (medium-term industry and occupational forecast). The starting point is those factors that will have a significant impact on the working world of tomorrow ("megatrends"): Technology & Digitalization & Connectivity, Globalization, Demography, Society (incl. Migration) and Climate. The consequences for the world of work will be derived and outlined on the basis of exemplary sectors and occupations (e.g. with regard to working hours, place of work, skills).
